The PowerBlock Pro adjustable kettlebell is a single kettlebell whose weight you set with a magnetic selector pin. PowerBlock lists an 18-35 lb model (8, 10, 12 and 16 kg) and a 35-62 lb model, with a 5-year warranty on both. It suits buyers wanting a few moderate weights in one unit, judged here from maker documents.
What size ranges does the PowerBlock Pro adjustable kettlebell come in?
PowerBlock lists two Pro ranges: 18-35 lb (18, 22, 26 and 35 lb, which it gives as 8, 10, 12 and 16 kg) and 35-62 lb (35, 44, 53 and 62 lb). A separate Sport 10-20 lb model is a different product line. The listed product in the Where to buy block is the 18-35 lb model.
What the maker says it is
PowerBlock says the 18-35 lb model replaces four traditional kettlebells. You insert the selector pin at the weight you want and lift the handle straight up, and any inner weights not selected stay behind. The product page says the pin is designed to hold securely through dynamic movements such as swings and presses, and calls the handle competition-standard. The range page describes the 18-35 lb model as ideal for beginners and functional fitness training and the 35-62 lb model as built for advanced strength, power and endurance training. Those are maker descriptions, not findings here.

Centimetre figures are converted from the inches on the maker's pages. The maker's pages use the terms steel shell and cast steel in different places, so the exact construction is not fully clear. PowerBlock also lists a Sport 10-20 lb kettlebell with a 34 mm handle; its range page marks it sold out.
Who does the specification suit?
On paper, the 18-35 lb model fits a buyer who wants a handful of moderate weights, wants a long warranty and does not need anything under 8 kg. It fits less well a buyer who expects to progress beyond 16 kg, who would then be looking at the 35-62 lb model or a second bell, or a buyer who wants a very light starting weight.
Can the 18-35 lb PowerBlock kettlebell be expanded?
No. PowerBlock says the 18-35 lb model cannot be expanded beyond 35 lb and points buyers wanting more to the 35-62 lb model, which it also says cannot be expanded beyond 62 lb. The 18-35 lb model starts at 8 kg and finishes at 16 kg, so it does not cover very light bells. The step sizes are 4 lb, 4 lb, then 9 lb.
The stated height is 10 inches, about 25 cm, with a footprint of about 14.6 x 10.8 cm. That is reasoning from the maker's figures, not a view of how it stores. The handle is the same size at every weight, which is a design point the maker highlights.
How do you change the weight on the PowerBlock kettlebell?
You set the kettlebell on flat, level ground, insert the magnetic selector pin into the weight you want and lift the handle straight up. The manual says to select the weight while the kettlebell is seated on the ground, and that removing or replacing the handle must be done in a straight motion because turning it sideways may cause the inner weights to tip over. It warns to check the pin is fully inserted and completely engaged before lifting, since incomplete contact between the magnetic pin and the kettlebell may result in weights falling.
What to check before buying
- Selector pin. The manual asks you to inspect the pin each use for cracks, chips or bends in the knob, magnet or pin, and to contact PowerBlock for replacement parts if it is damaged.
- Inspection schedule. The manual asks for inspection before each use and a visual check once a week.
- Dropping and striking. The manual says never to drop the kettlebell and not to strike it against other equipment, as that could dislodge the pin. Dropping from any height voids the warranty, and the manual says damage to floor surfaces may occur.
- Cleaning. A soft microfibre cloth and warm water. The manual says not to use ammonia or acid-based cleaners, abrasive cleaners or cloths, or paper towels, and not to apply cleaners directly to the surfaces.
- Servicing. It says never to repair the kettlebell yourself and to contact PowerBlock.
- Warranty terms. The manual says the warranty applies to the original purchaser who bought from PowerBlock's online store or an authorised reseller, asks you to register within 30 days of purchase, and excludes products stored outdoors, dropping and rust from improper storage.
- Age and health. It says anyone under 18 must have parental supervision, and recommends consulting a physician before starting an exercise programme.
- UK purchase. The maker's product page is a US store listed in dollars, with free shipping stated only to the 48 contiguous US states. PowerBlock publishes a UK owner's manual, and says international customers should go to the authorised dealer they bought from. Confirm UK availability, delivery and who handles warranty before buying; GOV.UK business guidance says customers buying at a distance can cancel up to 14 days after delivery.
Is the PowerBlock kettlebell safe for children?
PowerBlock says it is not intended for children: its manual says never to allow children to use or play near the equipment, and that anyone under 18 must always have parental supervision and instruction. It also says the purchaser is solely responsible for instructing end users and supervising personnel in correct operation, and to make sure your surroundings are free from potential interference before a workout. It recommends consulting a physician before starting an exercise programme.
Who should skip the PowerBlock Pro kettlebell?
Skip it if you want a very light bell under 8 kg, if you will want to expand beyond 16 kg without buying another unit, or if you do not want to check a magnetic pin before each lift. It is also not for commercial use, as the warranty excludes it, and PowerBlock says to keep children under 18 away.
