Sepehr Sabbagh-pour
Software engineer since 2009 and Head of Engineering by day. He researches and edits SmartHomeGym guides from manufacturer specifications and official sources, and each page says plainly that it is research, not a hands-on test.
Background
Sepehr is a software engineer who has been writing code since he was 13 and shipping it professionally since 2009. Today he is Head of Engineering, leading an engineering organisation of 20-plus people across product, platform, mobile and QA.
For over a decade he has built and run his own systems at home, including a fully self-hosted smart home built on Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT and Frigate, and writes about that on Smart Home Assistant. SmartHomeGym is a newer project: a UK buying-guide site for home gym equipment.
The guides here are researched from manufacturer specifications, official documentation and recognised standards bodies, and are labelled as research. They are not tests of a specific machine, and nothing on the site claims the author owns or has used a product unless the page says so.
How I write
Every guide starts from a question a UK buyer is likely to have. I use manufacturer documentation and official sources for facts, say plainly that the pages are research and not tests, and disclose how the site earns money. The rules are in the editorial policy and how we research.
